Northampton’s Bra Fitting Experts
The Gazebo Fit Experience
New customers tell us that getting fitted at Gazebo is a life-changing experience. We couldn’t agree more! With the right bra you will look better in your clothes and feel more comfortable and confident all day.
We know that everybody, and every body is different, and we celebrate that! That’s why we carry bras with cups from AA to O and bands from 28 to 54 in a wide array of styles. If you’re sick of going from store to store not finding anything that fits, or being told “we don’t carry your size,” let us help. We’ll guide you every step of the way… typically in under a half hour.
What to Expect
A tape measurement can be starting point, but human bodies can’t be reduced to a couple of numbers. To make matters more complicated, there is no size standard in the bra industry- different manufacturers use different formulas to produce band and cup sizes.
Our skilled sales team works one-on-one with each and every customer to ensure that the process of finding a bra is simple, painless, and, if we’ve done our job right, fun! At Gazebo, we fit using our eyes, your feedback, and over 40 years of experience.
Our Bra Fitting Process
At Gazebo our first step is to find out about your likes, dislikes, lifestyle, and needs. You will be shown to a fitting room with privacy for you, and a comfy spot for loved ones to relax. Usually the first bra you try will have an underwire which allows us to best asses size and fit . Sometimes we’ll have you try the size that you usually wear or think that you are. Sometimes the fitter will start with the size that she thinks you are!
Your fitter is available to help you put the bra on and adjust hooks and straps if necessary. Once everything is in place we look at the fit of the band, underwire, and cups, and we’ll adjust the size if necessary. If you are uncomfortable being viewed wearing just a bra, we are happy to provide a thin shirt for modesty.
Once we determine your size, we’ll try selection of bras and find the best style to suit your body!

Bra Care
The better you treat your bra, the better it will treat you… so be sure to protect your new investment with proper care and cleaning.
WASH
Bras should be laundered after 3-4 wearings, otherwise body care products and perspiration can build up and damage the fabric. Hand washing in cool water with a mild detergent like Eucalan is best. Soak for 15 minutes, gently agitate, rinse, and blot with a clean towel. If your bra must go in the washing machine, fasten all hooks and place it in a mesh bag. (This will protect lace from snags and prevent the bra from becoming tangled with other clothing.) Use cool water and the delicate cycle.
DRY
Hang or dry flat. Heat from the dryer breaks down elastic and warp molded cups!
STORE
We recommend hanging bras on a hanger or peg so that they can “breathe”. If stored in a drawer, do not fold molded cups inside one another.
ROTATE
Give your bras a break and don’t wear the same bra two days in a row. This will allow the elastic to fully recover it’s “spring” and your bras will last longer!
The ideal way to care for your bra is to hand wash it and hang it to dry. Of course, we understand that not everybody’s lifestyle can accommodate this kind of care.
If you are going to put a bra in your washing machine, we recommend:
- Use a delicate cycle only, with cold water.
- Close the hooks and eyes (otherwise they can snag the lace).
- Use a lingerie bag! This protects it from getting twisted up with your other garments. It also keeps the under wires from being distorted or bent out of shape.
- Hang your bras dry rather than putting them in the dryer, because heat tends to cause additional wear and tear to your bra.
- If you must use the dryer, use the lowest temperature setting.
- As far as what to wash your bra with, you can use any gentle wash. We highly recommend Eucalan, a lanolin no-rinse wash that you can find in the shop. We say that anything that you can safely use to wash your body you can use on your bras. (We even have known women to take a bra in to the shower and wash it with their shampoo!)
Ultimately the decision of how to care for your bras is up to you. The better care you take of your bra the longer your bra will take care of you!
